WEATHER IN SOUTH TYROL
A look at the weather in South Tyrol
Today's weather

Sun and clouds
A humid north-westerly high-altitude current determines the weather. On the main Alpine ridge and in the upper Vinschgau Valley, clouds are building up from the north-west and a northerly foehn is blowing. The rest of the region will be quite sunny in the afternoon. The tendency for showers will remain low for the time being, with a few showers possible in the north in the night to Thursday. Temperatures remain subdued in the north with 21° in Sterzing and up to 31° in Bolzano.

Changeable on the main ridge, friendly away from it
A humid north-westerly high-altitude current determines the weather. Clouds will accumulate on the Ortler and the main ridge, especially in the morning, and a few drops may fall. In the remaining mountain ranges, the sun will shine at times alongside mostly high clouds, especially in the afternoon. Only isolated rain showers will develop, they will become somewhat more frequent on the main Alpine ridge during the night.
Tomorrow's weather

Sunny in most of the region
The north-westerly high-altitude current will increasingly carry dry air masses towards the Alps. Thursday will start off unsettled in the west and north, otherwise mostly sunny. During the day, the sun will often shine alongside a few clouds, but the clouds will remain more persistent in the north, especially towards the Ahrntal Valley. The Föhn wind will continue to blow in the northern parts of the region. The temperatures in the afternoon are between 21° in the Wipptal and 31° in the Unterland.

Mostly sunny mountain weather
The north-westerly high-altitude current will increasingly carry dry air masses towards the Alps. In the morning, clouds and showers in the Ortler group and on the main ridge will temporarily obstruct visibility. It will clear up as the day progresses. In the remaining mountain groups, the sun usually shines from the start and visibility is very good.
